JawaPos.com– The Ministry of Environment and Forestry released the number of waste produced by the Indonesia community throughout 2023. There are a total of 17,441,415.28 waste as of 2023.
From this figure, the percentage of plastic waste is the second highest during 2023. The first position is food waste with a percentage of 44.7 percent of the total. Meanwhile, plastic waste is 18 percent.
“We want to continue to maintain our commitment to protecting the environment. One of them is by cleaning the beach in Kenjeran. There are 30-40 people from the team,” said Ricky Winoto, President Director of PT Asia Pramulia (ASPRA) in Kenjeran Surabaya.
Ricky Winoto said that his party also wants to invite the public to have a mindset related to plastic waste which is not just waste. There is more value.
“We realize that since 1991, we don’t just want to make a profit. But, we also want to contribute to plastic waste management for a more sustainable future,” explained Ricky Winoto.
One example of plastic waste that can be managed again is PET bottle plastic waste. Ricky said that his party would synergize with several companies that use PET plastic.
